Philosophy of Counseling

I believe people are the ultimate experts about themselves. I am committed to helping them achieve their goals by acting as a partner in their journey toward healing, using a trauma informed, cognitive behavioral approach while utilizing evidenced based methods.  That means that I have been trained to help people understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and what they do!

I am experienced in providing cognitive behavioral group therapy to people on probation and parole. I have experience with working with children and adults who have experienced sexual, physical, and emotional abuse. I help clients identify counseling goals and plan a treatment plan according to their individual needs.

I have acquired specific training in positive parental management tools to use when dealing with challenging behaviors in children.

In addition to individual and group counseling, I also provide clinical supervision to limited licensed professional counselors.

"One of the happiest moments in  life is when you find the courage to let go of what you can't change"
